Smart PIN is a powerful KEYINCODE feature designed to simplify temporary access management across compatible smart lock ranges. There’s no need for physical keys or manually managing temporary access codes. Whether you’re managing short-term rentals, coordinating service access, or controlling shared spaces, it provides a flexible and secure way to stay in control.
What is Smart PIN?
Smart PIN is a time-based access code that works only within a defined start and end date. Using the KEYINCODE app, you simply enter the required timeframe and a unique 6-digit code is generated. Once entered into the lock, the code activates automatically. When the time expires, it deletes itself – removing the need to manually manage or remove access credentials.
How It Works
Smart PIN is powered by the KEYINCODE Cloud while continuing to operate offline at the lock. This means there is no requirement for Wi-Fi at the door, making it ideal for locations where connectivity is limited. Each lock contains a smart chip with a unique identification number. When registered, this combines with setup data to create a secure baseline. As a result, every code is generated specifically for that lock and timeframe.
